Dr. Chambers has a gracious and powerful appreciation for the ebb and flow between life’s struggles, and moments of growth and happiness. She engages patients in a therapeutic environment flourishing with acceptance and compassion, while helping patients move closer to their values. Dr. Chambers relies on an integrative approach grounded in multiple psychotherapeutic techniques and is sensitive to the individual needs of each patient. In addition, she has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as experience with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-centered therapy. Overall, Dr. Chambers embraces therapeutic practices that emphasize psychological flexibility and self-awareness as essential ways of being for making change.
Dr. Chambers earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from DePaul University in Chicago. She also possesses further concentration in community psychology which is reflected in her work across a range of settings including: hospital, university counseling, school-based, and community mental health. Dr Chambers enjoys and has experience working with patients from varied ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and identities. Prior to joining Madison Park Psychological Services, Dr. Chambers worked at Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, DePaul University Counseling Services, University of Chicago Student Counseling, and DePaul Family and Community Services.
