Dr. Moran believes that goodness of fit in a therapeutic relationship is central for growth. She works from an integrative perspective with an attachment-focused lens for conceptualization. She knows that each client presents with a unique working map of cultural intersectionality, impactful historical events, and contextual considerations that, taken together, require an individually tailored plan for treatment. Dr. Moran approaches therapy from a pragmatic yet idealistic manner and assists clients in building the bridge between their needs and their environments, understanding that awareness is the first step toward making a change. She believes in holistic healing and lifelong growth, working to empower clients to find the balance between mind, body, and spirit. Dr. Moran is relationally based in style and offers a warm, empathetic, and professional framework through which she works collaboratively with clients to help them along their journeys to wholeness.
Dr. Moran earned her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR and her B.S. in kinesiology from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Her graduate program was generalist in training and during her time there she worked with clients across the lifespan and with a wide range of diagnoses. Dr. Moran is grounded in therapeutic work that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based. She also has specialized training in the psychology of gender and has experience with gender assessment for clients and families wishing to pursue medical interventions, exploratory therapy for gender-diverse individuals, and psychoeducation and process groups. Dr. Moran also has experience in substance use and trauma-related disorders. She completed her predoctoral internship in Anchorage, AK, where she worked with native and indigenous communities.
